Audience Development
In 2019, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media, Prof. Monika Grütters, approved funding to continue the Audience Development projects of the Conference of National Cultural Institutions (KNK). Jointly coordinated by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG), the Chemnitz Kunstsammlungen, the Cultural Foundation of Saxony-Anhalt, the Kunstmuseum Moritzburg Halle (Saale) and the Friedenstein Castle Foundation in Gotha, the project aims to develop a concept for analysing the visitor structure and visitor motivation of the participating institutions. Its main focus was to shed light on cultural participation and analyse the non-visitor pool, on the basis of which procedures and methodical approaches can be developed. The goal is to attract new audiences and develop services and programmes tailored to these target groups.
