Dr Ulrike Lorenz, born in 1963, is art historian and archaeologist. Ms Lorenz was the director of the Kunsthalle Mannheim and member of the board of the German Museums Association for many years. In 2014, she became a member of the Academy of Arts in Berlin. In 2018, she was awarded the Golden Badge of Honour by the Frauenbrücke Prize for Inner German Unity. She has served as president of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar since 2019, the second-largest cultural foundation in the Federal Republic of Germany and one of the most outstanding cultural and research institutions of its kind.

Prof. Dr Christoph Martin Vogtherr, born in 1965, studied art history, medieval history and classical archaeology in Berlin, Heidelberg and Cambridge. In 1998, he became the curator of the Romantic School painting collections at the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG). In 2007, Mr Vogtherr took a position as curator at the Wallace Collection in London, where he became its director in 2011. From 2016 to 2018, he served as director of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. On 7 February 2019, he assumed the post of general director of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg.
