KNK Cultural Climate Agents

How can cultural institutions help achieve the climate protection goals of the Paris Agreement and contribute to sustainably reducing CO2 emissions? To what extent can art and culture assume greater societal responsibility for protecting the future of our planet? How can cultural institutions become agents for cultural transformation with regard to their use of limited resources?

For many years, cultural institutions have drawn attention to such issues as resource scarcity, global warming and the destruction of biodiversity in their exhibitions, publications, events and educational programmes. 

To further develop its activities in this area, the KNK created a working group in 2021, devoted to climate protection and remains engaged in dialogue with key stakeholders.
